Application Process

Our application process and our customer service are designed to make insuring your vessel as quick and easy as possible. After you have submitted information to us by a web quote request or by mailing or faxing the HMI Application form to us, we will generally return a written proposal to you with 24 hours – frequently sooner.

If your vessel is a runabout or a day sailor with no cruising accommodations, we can offer coverage upon receipt and review of the following:

•        Completed application.

•        Down payment.

•        Color photos (Photos can be emailed to photos@heritagemarineinsurance.com )

If your vessel is a cruiser, trawler, or cruising sailboat we will ask you for:

•        Completed application                                               

•        Recent survey with recommendation compliance . Please see our survey guidelines.

•        Heritage Marine Insurance Equipment Requirement Agreement.        

•        Down payment.

•        Color photos (Photos can be emailed to photos@heritagemarineinsurance.com )

      If your vessel is a live aboard, if it is laid up in the water, if you are in an area prone to hurricanes, if you are seeking 6-Pac charter coverage, or if yours is a restoration project, we may ask you for additional information.
